Meet Dr. Induja Maheswaran

Dr. Induja obtained her B.S. in Bioengineering and Statistics from the University of Maryland, after which she served as a Research Fellow at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As a Dean's Scholar, she then obtained her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), as well as a Masters in Public Health (MPH), from the University of Pennsylvania. She was awarded three prestigious awards from Penn Dental: the Delta Dental Community Scholarship, the Dual-Degree Scholarship, and the Dean's Merit Scholarship. Dr. Induja then completed her clinical training in pediatric dentistry at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Induja is a board-eligible pediatric dentist who loves to create a warm and welcoming environment during dental visits so that children can feel comfortable and at ease. She prides herself on technical excellence, thoughtful communication with parents, and shared decision-making. Dr. Induja only recommends for children what she would want for her own family.

Outside of work, Dr. Induja loves to spend time with her German Shepherd and her husband. She enjoys long walks, good movies, and catching up with friends and family. If you see her playing fetch with her dog at a park near Swarthmore, make sure to say hello!
