Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist

Choosing a practice to trust with the health and beauty of your child’s smile is an important decision. Having a positive first impression of the dentist can influence children’s view of dentistry for the rest of their lives so it’s important to make sure your child is comfortable and the staff have the proper training and tools for children’s dental care.

Special Training: Pediatric dentists receive two to three years of postdoctoral training in dental treatment of infants, children, adolescents, and teenagers. Specialized training areas include child psychology, behavior modification, childhood diseases and pathology, childhood emergency treatment, treatment of dental trauma, and pharmacology.

Specialized Equipment: We have less invasive tools to aid in easier treatment of children. Pediatric dentists also undergo yearly training and re-certification to stay current with the most recent developments in technology and patient care.

Medical faculty members: Many pediatric dentists also have privileges at hospitals or surgery centers to help those who need more extensive dental care.

A Comfortable Environment: It’s very important for your child to feel comfortable in our office. It is our goal to create a safe place with a fun atmosphere for your child to enjoy.
